Design

The MacBook is light, thin and looks like a flat piece of metal when closed. It weighs over two pounds and measures 11in x 7.7in x 0.5in and is 13.1mm thick. It is the most stylish laptop available, it features tapered edges, industrial looking aluminum and has a smooth and matte finish. If you are not a fan of the stylish rose gold color don’t worry you have other color options like silver, gold and space gray.

Input Devices

It features a force touch trackpad and backlit keyboard. The full-sized keyboard has what they call the butterfly mechanism under it and has large keys, but are light and shallow which takes some getting used to. The touchpad or trackpad has a set of four sensors under it and the force click effect uses vibrations or small horizontal shift to make you feel like you’re clicking a button even though you’re just tapping on a flat surface.

Display and Communication

The 12” screen features a slightly glossy screen, wide viewing angles, a 2304 x 1440 pixel resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio for sharper and outstanding image details. The Webcam has a low resolution of 480p which only offers decent images when using skype, facetime and other camera apps. For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.0.

Ports

Apple MacBook 2016_3

The Apple MacBook 2016 comes with only one USB-C port and headphone jack. It can be found on the left rear corner and it remains to be one of the questionable and annoying feature of the MacBook. If you wish to have a second port either a USB-C or something else you’ll have to buy an adapter or you can have the option to just switch between backing up to your external hard drive, charging and using peripherals like your keyboard, monitor and mouse.

Performance

MacBook 2016 comes with an Intel Core M Processor (2.2GHz, 4MB Cache) along with an Apple Mac Operating System that delivers excellent performance and allows you to conveniently multitask and 8GB RAM that delivers faster memory.

Battery & Warranty

The excellent battery life makes your Apple MacBook 2016 your all day, every day laptop. It usually lasts up to nine or Ten Hours. The good thing about its battery Lithium Polymer (LiPo) is you can charge it the way how you charge your phone, you can charge it at night, when it’s dead or when you’re not using it. The warranty period is 12 months.

The Verdict

It all boils down to this question “Is it worth buying?”

Yes, you should buy one if you want a stylish and portable computer and is willing to pay a high price that comes with it.

No, you shouldn’t buy one if you are the kind of person that needs to stay in your desk all day and needs multiple connectivity options.

Overall, Its one powerful, fast, stylish and lightweight laptop that is ideal for travelling and if you just want to give your phone a rest but not suitable for everyday work or intensive tasks.
